Farewell to Summer

We're saying good-bye to free days, swimming in the pool, heading to the lake, staying up late just because you can, visiting the museums to stay cool, eating Popsicles, and lounging together on a hot afternoon. While it's sad to see summer go, school is exciting and, truthfully, I'll be glad for a little more of a routine. But here are just a few of the fun things that we've been busy doing all summer long...

Spending a great weekend at the lake with Aimee, Russ, and some of the Bodhaine clan

Miles was a little bit obsessed with the water and would beg to take a ride on the jet ski. When he wasn't wearing the life jacket, we had to tie a noodle around him so that he could jump off the dock and swim without drowning .

Visiting the dinosaur museum

And we could never pass up the opportunity to nosh at Krispy Kreme-

especially when the hot sign was up...
