Saving Face

Last week was picture day for Aydan. Naturally I remembered this after she had left for school with a startling bright yellow shirt and questionable hair. After lamenting for a moment, the solution became clear- make Rich go to the school and change her clothes. I mean, what teacher/office gal is going to bat an eye at a Dad having to change his kid's clothes? A mom is another story...So sweet Rich headed over with a change of clothes and hair accessories. The principal, some teachers, and the office lady were all there and applauded his efforts except that we were 10 minutes too late--Aydan had just had her picture taken!! All of that cajoling on my part for nothing....well, there's always the make-up pictures (which is written prominently on the calendar)!
