Okay, these first two are just for fun because they are hilarious. I have about 5 other pictures of Regan in her makeshift burka.

From the hospital, so you can see the room Erika is growing to hate, as well as the cursed clock and tv. She was SO proud of herself about an hour ago when she woke up from a nap and looked at the clock and said "It's 3. It's 3 o'clock". That boost of success was terrific. She was really excited for a while in her victory over the clock and she ate something and went for a short walk to celebrate. WOOO!
The Torture Chamber - Yes, that is where I slept last night in that corner. It was worth every uncomfortable moment to be there for her when she woke up.

The Inspiration - Aydan made this card for Mommy and Erika has really enjoyed looking at the pictures of the kids. It has really motivated her.
Marked Improvement - Erika was smiling and talking and was really happy with her small successes. We were too!

ReplyDeleteWe showed the picture of Regan with a burka on to Erika's nurse. She is of some middle-eastern descent and she wears a burka. She thought it was the most adorable thing she's ever seen and wants to give us a dress or two for Regan to play with.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad she is walking around! And she looks great! Sorry you have to sit there and watch the clock. I remember same from Randall's brain surgery. And those visitor beds, give a break. With the money that hospitals make I think they can afford to get something that's comfortable for those who stay around.
